Whale Tales: Fins, Flukes, and Films

Gray's Reef National Marine Sanctuary Foundation hosted Whale Tales: Fins, Flukes, and Films at 24e in Historic Savannah on January 28, 6pm. As a kickoff for the 2016 Gray's Reef Ocean Film Festival, we previewed the weekend's feature films and celebrated our ocean with over 100 of our closest friends! Chris Slay, southeast regional whale rescue team leader gave an exciting presentation on disentangling North Atlantic Right Whales to highlight the evening.

Thrive Catering provided delicious creations and beer and wine was supplied by Savannah Distributing Co. This educational and entertaining evening was the 1st Anniversary of the Launch of Gray's Reef National Marine Sanctuary Foundation.  Last year's inaugural event was a fantastic event to kickoff our organization focusing on ocean conservation, education, and stewardship of Gray's Reef. Our first year exceeded our wildest expectations, so we celebrated and will look to make 2016 even stronger!
